Pie Crust

Margaret Shevkenek (Al’s mother)

  • 1 lb. shortening
  • 5 c. flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tbsp. vinegar
  • cold water

Beat egg and salt, add vinegar. Add enough water to make ¾ c. liquid. Cut shortening into flour and baking powder. Add liquid to flour and shortening mixture.
