Chinese Chews

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. white sugar
  • ¾ c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. dates
  • 1 c. raisins
  • ¾ c. walnuts

Beat eggs until foamy. Beat in sugar. Add sifted flour, baking powder, and salt. Add vanilla. Mix with fruit and spread in buttered pan 8 by 8 inches. Bake at 350 for 30 mins. Cut in squares while warm and if you wish roll in icing or fruit sugar.
