Pyrogie’s Dough

Kate Hendricks [nee Neufeld – Jac’s sister], 1-27-04

  • 6 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. butter
  • 1 ¼ c. water
  • 2 eggs
  • ¼ c. sour cream

Mix butter into flour and salt. Beat eggs lightly, blend in water and sour cream. Add to dry mixture. Cover and cool in frig several hours or overnight. Roll out and fill with your favourite mixture. Mine is cottage cheese. When using spuds, mash and add sautéed onions. Do not add any milk or butter to spuds. Fruit filling good too.
